That’s no kidney stone: Mom welcomes surprise new year’s baby

An eastern Newfoundland woman who thought she was suffering from the pains of a kidney stone says she was shocked to learn she was pregnant — and about to deliver.
Port de Grave resident Juanita Stead went to a nearby hospital on New Year’s Eve, after back pains worsened while she was at a party. She said her brother-in-law, an ambulance attendant, insisted she go to hospital.

After an X-ray was taken, Stead was told she was about to have a full-term baby.

How does this happen? It boggles my mind.
